About psyopper

Welcome to the psyopper store. I am a one person small business and all orders are hand crafted personally by me, a 4th generation American. All of my products are "Made in the USA" just outside of Portland, Oregon.

I am a drilling U.S. Army Reservist and currently hold down a "real" full time job in Portland. I operate this store "part time" on the evenings and weekends, though frequently my evenings aren't necessarily at night, nor are my weekends actually on Saturday and Sunday. I do realize that this is a limitation to operating psyopper.com, but the bills must be paid and for now my full time job is more profitable in this regard. I hope to some day break out from the day to day and be able to operate the store full time when that "profitability point" balances out this way instead.

I focus on using only the highest quality military grade materials including DWR Coated nylons, ITW hardware, bonded nylon threads and milspec webbing. I concentrate on construction quality, durability and reliability over fashion at every available opportunity. I hand cut my patterns and machine sew my designs on order rather than mass producing hundreds of the same item simultaneously; this ensures that each and every product I make has my full and undivided attention - there are no "Friday Afternoon" products in my inventory. Occasionally when orders are slow I will pre-produce certian popular products - these will be noted as such on the store front or product information.

I do not believe in copying some-one else's design, so please don't insult me by asking. If you want their product, you should buy their product. This also includes derivatives of products - adding a pen pocket to a pre-existing design doesn't make it new. However, I am willing, on a case by case basis, to modify your existing soft goods to add that pen pocket for you. With that said, I do realize that there are only so many ways to make a pouch, regardless of any design you see on my site I can assure you that I did not intentionally copy of duplicate it. In certian instances these designs are industry standards (PALS webbing, or pouches for specifically sized items) and thus duplication can not reasonably be avoided.

I really feel the need to give a shout out to Mike and the rest of the DIY Tactical forum members and crew, without them I wouldn't be here doing what I have grown to love doing - creating custom tailored, hard core, technically sophisticated, durable soft goods.
